Introduction
I've worked in higher education for many years and on this part of my web site I distill all of my accumulated knowledge and experience. (It's contained in just a few short pages; that's pretty pathetic, isn't it?). Here's what you'll find on my site.
Seven Principles. In 1987, Art Chickering first defined seven principles of good undergraduate education. I've created one page for each of those principles and suggest ways technology can help instructors leverage them in their classes.
Web 2.0. This short page first defines Web 2.0 and then describes how those tools can be used to enhance a class.
Webliography. I encourage all instructors to create a Webliography that contains links to sites that are particularly appropriate for their disciplines. Here is a Webliography that contains links to four or five sites for many different disiplines. Instructors should think of this as a "starter kit" for their own Webliography.
WebStudy. This is a popular Course Management System; and this section of my site contains information (including a FAQ page) that shows instructors how to effectively use it to teach online classes.
