The Author
I am George Self, the author of this site.
I am the Director of the Online Campus for Cochise College, a small, rural community college in southern Arizona, USA. I have a BS in Elementary Education (Missouri Valley College) , a MS in Education Leadership (Troy University), and am working on a Ph.D. in Higher Education (University of Arizona).
Besides my work as the Director, I teach occasional classes for our Computer Information Systems department, including Operating Systems, Digital Logic, and others. I also enjoy teaching classes to faculty about how to use the computer in general, and the Internet in particular, to enhance student learning.
The Site
This site was created to provide help for online college students and faculty. The information presented here is generic, not specific to Cochise College, and can be used by students and faculty at any college or university. It is intended to be a "one stop shopping center" for anything folks need to know to be more effective with their online classes.
Keep in mind that the site is under constant revision. As I find new things to add, they go into the mix. Of course, obsolete things are also pruned away as necessary.
